Taking The Long Road Home...

Sometimes you just have to take the long road home.   I drive on the same roads all the time but rarely stop to take the time to really look.  I just take for granted that it will all be there tomorrow and that I'll have the time to stop some other time to look...
Instead, yesterday, I took the long road home...

  1. Could you open it up so I can simply view it on the reader. You've changed it with this post.

  3. FW2 - I think I fixed it. I hope... maybe?

Mrs Who - Thank you. I probably should have also mentioned that almost every single one of those pictures were taken on the sides of the roads, so had I turned 90 degrees in either direction, I would have seen the blacktop. Also, that most of these were actually taken within nearby city limits. The only time I stop is usually at a stop light or stop sign. Unfortunately, you couldn't really see all the leaves as they were falling (it really did look like confetti) because the pictures were taken with a Nikon Coolpix camera. My old camera finally had to be buried next to the alarm clock...

  4. I'm glad I could show anyone who cared to look a little bit of what I saw that day, but to be honest, I'd feel even better if at least one other person took their own long road home. Sharing is optional and not necessary. Taking a look just for YOU is what's important.

  5. Val - It's not even peak season hear yet. When I was stationed in Colorado it always amazed me how most folks would flock to the mountains to see the aspens turn yellow. I looked at them (and they ARE pretty) but I always wanted to know where the rest of the colors were hiding...
